It’s that time of the year again, we have everything you need to know about the Champions League draw’s Group stage and predictions.

The UEFA Champions League is back this season with a bang, the group stage is ready to bring us another fantastic year. We have a few major surprises, the classic group of death, and the rivalry we’ve all been waiting for to come back. We will give you an inside look at what the groups look like and what you can expect from them.

Group A

Bayern Munich will get to clash against Atletico Madrid in this group. The German giants are the reigning champions. But this is the group of death because it has RB Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow in the same group. From a Champions League surprise last season to the reigning champions and Atletico Madrid.

This one would be hard to call if Bayern wasn’t part of this group. The Bavarians are big favorites to win the whole competition but Atletico Madrid and Salzburg should duke it out for the second spot in the group.

Group B

Another difficult group will give us Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Borussia Monchengladbach. Contrary to Group A, Los Blancos are not going through the best moment of their recent history. Antonio Conte’s Inter is the favorite to surprise everybody in this group.

The other two clubs can aspire to get a spot on the Europa League’s playoffs with the third spot. Real Madrid has a unique position that they won’t appreciate too much. They are not the favorites to take the top position and that has to be a first.

Group C

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City is going to try its luck again for the fourth consecutive season as one of the tournament’s favorites. The last time they were eliminated, it happened in the quarterfinals against Olympique Lyon in a surprising manner.

They are still favorites to win this group this time against Porto, Olympiacos, and Olympique Marseille. However, anything can surprise us at this point coming from Pep and his players. Things would’ve been very different if they had signed Leo Messi.

Group D

As one of the other favorites to win the Champions League this season, Liverpool has a difficult group ahead of them. They share the stage with Ajax, Atalanta, and Midtylland. Although they might not have a problem finishing at the top, it’s very possible that the Dutch and the Italians will make them have a hard time as visitors. The real tournament won’t start for Liverpool until they are in the playoffs though.

Group E

Another exciting group will give us Sevilla facing Chelsea, Krasnodar, and Rennes. This is one that will give us a lot of excitement from all over the place. The Spanish club is looking quite powerful this season after their Europa League success.

Chelsea has a lot of pressure on their shoulders after the transfer window they just went through. This one will be hard to call but we’ll say Sevilla can finish first and the Blues second.

Group F

Another complicated group that will give us a chance to see Borussia Dortmund’s youth-filled squad play against some great opponents. We have Zenit, Lazio, and Club Brugge at this stage. Until something different happens with Sancho, we will keep thinking he will play next to Haaland against these clubs and remain favorites to finish on top.

There is no way they are going far in the competition if the English winger goes to Manchester United. However, they do have a chance if he stays to play with the Norwegian striker. Keep an eye out for Ciro Immobile’s Lazio as well.

Group G

The rivalry we’ve all been begging for to come back is here again. Ronaldo vs Messi will give us another two matches between Juventus and Barcelona. They share the stage with Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros. It’s clear they will claim the two spots from this group but we’ll see who finishes on top.

Everything will depend on how they do when they face each other and how motivated both clubs are. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to watch them play. As far as title contenders go, we believe other clubs are more favorites to win the tournament this season. But Messi and Ronaldo will always remain relevant in this conversation.

Group H

Last but never least, we have PSG coming back after losing last season’s final. They won’t have it easy against their semifinals’ rival from last season, Manchester United, and Istanbul Basaksehir. The French giants are not willing to give up on their dream to win the tournament this year with Neymar and Mbappe.

They also want revenge from the time they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Man United two years ago. It should be an interesting one to follow. PSG are favorites, of course. But we can’t underestimate the Red Devils or Nigelsmann’s boys.
