Just as it seemed the Old Lady were slipping up again, Cristiano Ronaldo rose to the occasion to ensure his side walk away with all three points.

A Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired comeback saw Juventus edge past Udinese with a hard-fought 2-1 victory in Serie A on Sunday.

Juventus found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreline within just the first ten minutes as Nahuel Molina punished the opposition defense for their lack of alertness, latching onto Rodrigo de Paul’s cross and firing a shot into the roof of the net.

The visitors continued to trail until late in the game despite enjoying almost two-thirds possession for the majority of the match.

Ronaldo bagged a brace within a space of six minutes to turn the game completely on its head. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner converted a spot-kick to level the scoreline before smashing a header into the back of the net at minute 89.

The victory helps Juventus climb up to third place in the Serie A standings, although they remain level on points with fourth-placed AC Milan as well as second-placed Atalanta at 69.
