Udinese and Inter Milan faced each other this Saturday afternoon at the Dacia Arena. We have the player ratings.
Udinese stepped out onto the pitch this Saturday as they tried to end their winless run. Le Zebrette have failed to win any of their last eight Serie A matches, leaving the club only four points away from the relegation zone.
On the other hand, Inter’s confidence levels were bound to be high after their 2-0 win against current champions Juventus. In fact, Antonio Conte’s team had the chance to put added pressure on AC Milan as both Milano teams stepped onto the pitch at the same time.
The first half was well-disputed with both sides conceding few chances. The most dangerous opportunity came as Becao handed Martinez the ball too close to the penalty box. However, Musso was quick to react and showed off his talent with a brilliant save.
In the second half, the game’s direction didn’t change at all. Both teams had a few chances to secure the win, none ever looked like they could actually do it. Hakimi almost sent Inter to the top of Serie A as he dribbled past one of the defenders and delivered a shot that missed the goal by a few inches.
However, the game ended in a goalless draw that none of the teams can complain about. Nevertheless, Conte had quite a bit to say as he engaged in some heated remarks with the match’s referee.
Naturally, Conte was sent off at the end of the match, which didn’t please the manager at all. As he left the pitch, the manager furiously yelled at the referee: “It’s always you, Maresca,” he told the match official.
