The American midfielder will return to the Premier League for the new season.

Tyler Adams is on the verge of completing a move to Bournemouth.

Since Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, Adams has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.

Earlier this month, Chelsea agreed to sign Adams by activating his £20m release clause. But the USMNT star ended up staying at Leeds United as the deal collapsed in the final stages.

Adams is now seemingly close to securing a move back to the Premier League.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old has travelled to London to complete his Bournemouth medical. The Cherries reportedly activated Adams’ release clause before its expiry on Monday.

Adams ends his spell at Leeds after spending a season at the club. Following his £20m move from RB Leipzig, he made 25 appearances for the Peacocks across all competitions.

Adams becomes Bournemouth’s seventh summer signing as they aim to avoid another Premier League relegation battle this season. Most of the club’s transfer efforts have been focused on bolstering their midfield line, with the likes of Alex Scott, Hamed Junior Traorè, and Romain Faivre joining the Cherries this summer.

Following a 1-1 draw against West Ham in their Premier League opener, Bournemouth will travel to Anfield to meet Liverpool this weekend.
