The Manchester United footballer is facing more allegations after two women came forward.
Two more women went public with accusations against Manchester United winger Antony on Thursday.
This comes after Antony’s former partner, Gabriela Cavallin, alleged that he had abused her. This resulted in Brazil dropping him for the World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru.
On Monday, United stated that they are taking the matter seriously. No comment has been made on the latest accusations. On the player’s side, Antony has denied the charges, insisting he is innocent.
The situation has also sparked allegations that United tried to cover up Antony’s alleged abuse of Cavallin. The club has vehemently denied these claims.
With an investigation underway in Brazil and England, the Red Devils have refused to confirm if Antony will play in any of their upcoming fixtures.
The 23-year-old joined the Premier League side from Ajax last summer for a €95 million fee. He has played four times this season, leaving him with a total of 48 appearances.
United restart their Premier League campaign on September 16 at home to Brighton.
