Jesus, who came off the bench later, was also visibly in pain after the final whistle.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo, both players will miss the rest of the World Cup campaign.
Medical checks on both stars have reportedly shown serious leg injuries that will keep them out of action in Brazil’s upcoming games.
Initial speculations on Jesus’ injury show the Arsenal star will be back on the pitch in less than a month. However, Telles might have to go under the knife to fully recover from the knock.
The pair join Danilo, Neymar, and Alex Sandro on Brazil’s concerning injury list.
As Brazil prepare to lock horns with South Korea in the last-16 round, Tite needs to cover for the team’s absentees.
The Selecao boss moved Marquinhos to the left-back position after Telles left the pitch against Cameroon. Let’s see if he will stick to the same plan or opts for a different formation against South Korea.
