Manchester United have dropped their interest in Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

The versatile Austrian rejected a contract extension offer from the European & German champions and has since been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Atletico contact Chelsea for Alonso.

Atletico Madrid have initiated talks with Chelsea regarding the transfer of Marcos Alonso.

Los Rojiblancos, who are keen on strengthening their backline heading into the second half of the season, want to sign the Spanish full-back on an initial loan deal.

Ben Chilwell and Emerson Palmieri are the other options for Frank Lampard for the left-back spot and Chelsea are willing to cash in on Alonso. [The Independent]

Wijnaldum decididing on Liverpool future.

Georginio Winaldum will make a final decision whether or not to sign a contract extension with Liverpool.

The Dutchman, as it stands, will become a free agent at the end of the season, and should he turn down the renewal offer, he will be able to talk with other clubs in January.

Winaldum, who remains a transfer target for Barcelona, will inform Liverpool of his decision this week. [Sky Sports]

Milan set sights on Zaha.

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is on the wishlist of AC Milan ahead of the January transfer market.

The Rossoneri are leading the Serie A title race and are hoping that the addition of the 28-year-old winger can boost their chances of landing a first Scudetto since 2010-11.

This is not the first time, though, that Zaha has been linked with a move away from Palace with his exit rumors consistently surfacing over the past 18 months. [The Sun]

Arsenal or Everton appear to be the most likely destination for Real Madrid outcast Isco.
