Barkley has left Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has had his contract at the club terminated by mutual consent.

The 28-year-old, who has 33 England caps to his name, has not featured for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season. His final Blues appearance was in a 2-1 final day win over Watford last term. He scored an injury-time winner in that match.

Ronaldo could go out on loan

The clock is ticking for Cristiano Ronaldo. Time is running out, with the transfer window closing on Thursday. The forward might be able to leave Manchester United for Napoli or Sporting CP, but it won’t be easy.

United are unlikely to offer Ronaldo in a direct swap deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. So, with only a few days of the transfer window left, a loan move may be the only chance CR7 has of leaving Old Trafford. [Independent]
