Laporta still hopes Dembele will stay at Barcelona
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has left the door open for Ousmane Dembele to stay at Camp Nou.
The 24-year-old winger didn’t renew his contract in January, meaning he can leave in the summer for free. But he continues to deliver on the pitch for Barcelona. Therefore, manager Xavi still wants him.
Speaking at the Mobile World Congress on Monday, Laporta said: “Dembele knows our proposal and we’ve always wanted him to stay. We’ll see if at the end of the season he thinks about it again.”
