Chelsea shortlist a €55m-rated Rice alternative

The Blues have reportedly listed Jude Bellingham as a transfer alternative for Declan Rice.

Despite Thomas Tuchel’s interest, Rice remains a West Ham player. Therefore, Chelsea are considering an approach for Bellingham, who has a market value of €55 million. The club plan to monitor the 18-year-old’s progress at Borussia Dortmund.

PSG ready to offer Pogba a mega-contract

Despite an outstanding performance in Manchester United’s 5-1 demolition of Leeds last weekend, Paul Pogba’s future still hangs in the balance.

The midfielder, whose contract expires next summer, has caught Paris Saint-Germain’s interest. The Ligue 1 giants could offer him €600,000 a week in salary if he joins them on a free transfer in 2022.

Sources close to Pogba expected him to join PSG this summer until Lionel Messi’s unexpected arrival from Barcelona changed that. [Independent]

Kane to Manchester City is still on

Despite Tottenham’s attempts to hold on to their prized asset, Manchester City plan to pursue their interest.

With just over two weeks left of the transfer window, City are ready to test Spurs’ resolve. The Citizens are not prepared to spend as much as £150 million (€176m) for Harry Kane. That said, they could still break the British transfer record for a second time this summer after signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100m.

At the moment, City are prepared to go as high as £120m (€141m) plus add-ons for Kane. [ESPN]

Henderson agrees on new Liverpool contract

Jordan Henderson has agreed in principle to sign a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

The 31-year-old is under contract at Anfield until 2023 but hopes to sign an extension. Talks between the player and the club have been slow, prompting alleged interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid. Barcelona eye shock swap deal with Arsenal

Despite Joan Laporta announcing a debt of €1.35 billion on Monday, Barcelona remain active in the transfer market.

The Catalan club reportedly seek an intriguing swap with Arsenal that would bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Camp Nou and Philippe Coutinho to the Emirates Stadium.
