Chelsea identify three Jules Kounde alternatives

The Blues have listed three alternatives for Jules Kounde should the Sevilla defender complete a transfer to Barcelona.

These are Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar, RB Leipzig’s Josep Gvardiol, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe.

Neither of these players, though, are ideal options. Skriniar is a target for PSG this summer. Leipzig don’t want to sell Gvardiol, while Kimpembe is reluctant to leave PSG. [Evening Standard]

Cristiano Ronaldo will meet Manchester United to discuss his future imminently.

It was reported on Monday evening that Ronaldo had flown back to England. The 37-year-old had previously told United that he would like to leave if the club receive a suitable offer. He will now hold talks with manager Erik ten Hag in the coming days, although it’s uncertain if he will train with the team on Tuesday. [The Athletic]

Chelsea block Alonso & Azpilicueta deals for Barcelona

The Blues have blocked Barcelona’s attempts to sign full-backs Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Spanish defenders are both high up on Barcelona’s transfer list this summer. However, considering the Catalan club hijacked Chelsea’s attempt to sign Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, the Premier League side have hit back by blocking any Camp Nou move for Alonso or Azpilicueta.
