Arsenal tipped to beat Barcelona for Man City star

Despite interest from Barcelona, Raheem Sterling views Arsenal as an ‘extremely attractive’ transfer option.

The England international has no plans to extend his Manchester City contract, which expires in 2023. His representatives have allegedly told the club he wants a loan move in January.

Manchester United appoint Rangnick

Ralf Rangnick has become interim manager of Manchester United until the end of the season.

The 63-year-old German replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was fired on November 21 after a 4-1 defeat to Watford, in the dugout, subject to work visa requirements.

Marquinhos in PSG contract talks

Paris Saint-Germain have begun negotiations with club captain Marquinhos over a new contract.

The Brazilian defender continues to impress in Mauricio Pochettino’s star-studded squad and is open to extending his stay in France. His current deal runs until June 2024.

It’s understood both PSG and Marquinhos would be keen to extend the contract for another two years until 2026 at least. [RMC Sport – in French]

Manchester City eye Mahrez renewal

The Citizens want to extend Riyad Mahrez’s £160-per-week contract.

The Algerian winger, who is under contract at the Etihad until June 2023, is happy in Manchester and has no plans to seek a transfer.
