Arsenal take the lead in race for top Barcelona target

The Gunners have taken a big step forward in their attempts to complete a transfer for Leeds United winger Raphinha.

The 25-year-old Brazilian isn’t willing to wait any longer. Barcelona have gone off the radar, with Leeds having heard nothing from the Catalan club. Therefore, Arsenal aim to seal a deal this week. The Premier League side can match Leeds’ asking price of around €50 million and offer a much bigger salary than Barca. [Goal – in Spanish]

Lewandowski still wants to leave Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met Robert Lewandowski in Mallorca recently to persuade him to stay at the club.
