Arsenal strike a deal for fifth summer signing
Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko is on the verge of joining Arsenal. The 25-year-old Ukrainian has accepted personal terms for a four-year contract. If all goes to plan, he could undergo a medical soon to complete a £30 million (€35m) transfer to the north London club. The deal includes a further £2 million (€2.3m) in add-ons.
Zinchenko would become the fifth signing Arsenal have made this summer after Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, and Gabriel Jesus. [The Athletic]

Atletico Madrid have contacted Cristiano Ronaldo’s representatives over a potential transfer to the LaLiga club.

Barcelona wage dispute holds up De Jong exit
The Blaugrana are refusing to pay midfielder Frenkie de Jong the €17 million owned from his restructured contract.
The relationship between player and club is at the limit. De Jong would be entitled to the €17 million salary if he fulfills his contract, which he had altered to help Barca through their financial issues during the COVID-19 crisis. It runs until June 2026. However, given Barcelona’s attempts to sell him, the player’s camp believe he should get the unpaid wages now.
The Catalan giants reportedly have a transfer agreement in place with Manchester United, worth around €85 million, for De Jong. [Independent]
The Kounde-Chelsea saga is back on
Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has accepted personal terms with Chelsea.
The Blues have submitted a transfer offer of around €55 million to Sevilla. This is €5 million more than they offered last summer. But due to Barcelona’s interest, Sevilla could drive up Kounde’s selling price. [Marca – in Spanish]

Ramsey could end his Juventus contract early
Aaron Ramsey is in talks with Juventus to settle the final year of his contract.
If everything goes according to plan, Ramsey will be able to sign for another club on a free transfer. The 31-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers. [Mail]
Kubo to swap Real Madrid for Real Sociedad
Real Madrid will sell 50% of winger Takefusa Kubo’s playing rights to La Liga rivals Real Sociedad. The deal is worth around €6.5 million. Kubo will soon complete a medical and sign a contract until 2027 with La Real.

Dybala set for Roma move
Paulo Dybala has agreed to join AS Roma on a free transfer from Juventus.
The 28-year-old forward is a free agent after ending a seven-year spell at Juventus last month. He arrived in Portugal on Monday to complete his transfer and join Roma at their pre-season training camp.
