Arsenal close in on €100m target after Chelsea decision

Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk are getting closer to agreeing on a transfer deal for Mykhailo Mudryk.

Felix could extend his Atletico Madrid contract

Atletico Madrid want to extend Joao Felix’s contract by a further 12 months until June 2027.

Felix is on the verge of joining Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. The Blues will pay the 23-year-old forward’s salary and hope to complete the deal soon. However, before sanctioning the move, Atletico want the player to sign a new contract. [Marca – in Spanish]

Busquets becomes Al Nassr’s latest target

Al Nassr want to sign Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets in the summer transfer window.

The 34-year-old former Spain international is out of contract at the end of the season. Al Nassr are prepared to offer him around €13 million a year to join Cristiano Ronaldo and co in Saudi Arabia. MLS side Inter Miami are also in contention to sign Busquets. [ESPN]

Chelsea still chasing two more forwards

Leeds in ‘advanced talks’ for a club-record transfer

Leeds United are close to signing Hoffenheim’s 20-year-old forward Georginio Rutter for a club-record fee of up to €40 million.

The 14th-placed Premier League side are in advanced talks with Hoffenheim over a deal. They hope to arrange a midweek medical for Rutter. The club’s current record signing is Rodrigo Moreno, who joined Leeds in 2020 from Valencia for €30 million. [Sky in Germany – in German]
