The Blues were beaten in their first final under the German manager, who suggests his side lacked efficiency in the final third of the pitch.

Thomas Tuchel feels Chelsea were “unlucky” to lose against Leicester City in the FA Cup final.

Youri Tielemans’ sensational strike three minutes after the hour-mark was all it took for Chelsea to suffer back-to-back FA Cup final losses.

Leicester, meanwhile, lifted the trophy for the very first time in their 137-year-long history in front of 20,000 fans in Wembley.

The Blues dominated possession of the ball (64 percent) and had more shots (13) but couldn’t make the most of those stats. One time they did find the back of the net through Ben Chilwell, the goal was ruled offside.

“Our decision making in the first half was too hectic, we tried to force the solution,” Tuchel said in his post-match press conference after Chelsea’s 1-0 loss, via Football London.

“We created two against two and three against three situations that were more promising than we made of it. We had a big chance with Azpi and in the second half we controlled the game.

“We conceded a goal from nothing. It’s a fantastic goal and a lucky goal. We have a chance from Mason, an offisde goal that was very close. We were unlucky today.”
