As the summer approaches, Tuchel has clarified his involvement in Chelsea’s transfer decisions.

Thomas Tuchel will be involved in transfer decisions, but he understands everything won’t always go his own way at Chelsea.

The season may not be over yet, but transfer rumors are already flying high. A new striker is said to be a top priority. Therefore, Chelsea have been linked with moves for Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, and Sergio Aguero.

But while Tuchel already has ideas on his ideal kind of player, the Blues boss is happy with his current options and is in no dire need of reinforcements.

“I have opinions about what we can add to the group to get better,” said Tuchel on the club’s website.

“This is my job and I will give my opinion because I am asked my opinion. I have my ideas, of course, and I have ideas of certain profiles.

“It’s not about me wishing for Player A or B and if they don’t come, then I will get angry. It was never like that in my entire career and it will not be like that because I totally understand there are issues to solve with the agents, the players and the interests of other clubs.

“It’s not only about me and my wishes, but of course we talk about it.”

“I talk with the club, I give my opinion and talk about it with the scouting department. I am involved and I should be involved. I have the feeling that I am involved.”

Tuchel added: “I have a strong feeling that we are not in a rush and we are not in a big need.

“We are very relaxed. Everyone is fully focused, and it is not the time to get distracted with any of that.”

Chelsea will welcome Fulham to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening for a west London derby in the Premier League.
