The Red Devils have found form hard to come by at home this term, and the 23-year-old defender feels it is due to the absence of fans.

2020/21 Premier League campaign hasn’t been kind to Manchester United so far as they themselves just four spots above the relegation zone after seven matches.

Thrice have the Red Devils found themselves on the wrong end of a scoreline already in the league, with all three losses coming at home.

Crystal PalaceTottenham, and Arsenal have all gotten the better of them at home soil while Chelsea were able to snatch a point, with Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s men’s last win at Old Trafford dating way back to July 4.

Man United will have a chance to turn their ill-fortune around when they host West Brom on their return to the Premier League on Saturday night.

Asked to put his finger on the reason behind the team’s struggles at home, Axel Tuanzebe told United Review: “I couldn’t tell you, to be honest. But we definitely need to correct it.

“Fans are a massive part of the game. Now you can hear everything that’s being said, you can communicate easily with your team-mates. You can say that the pressure from the [opposition] fans has kind of faded, which, to some extent, makes things easier [for the away team].

“So, to some extent, you can say it’s easier going away and winning than it is with fans.”
