The Argentine icon further cemented his status as an all-time great by claiming the trophy in Qatar.

Brazil legend Kaka has welcomed Lionel Messi to an elite club of players known as the “Triple Crown”.

These players have won the World Cup, Champions League, and Ballon d’Or during their careers.

Kaka himself won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 before claiming the Champions League at Milan in 2007. His performances for the Italian giants earned him a Ballon d’Or in the same year.

Messi, on the other hand, has won the Champions League four times. The Paris Saint-Germain star’s seven Ballon d’Or triumphs is an all-time record.

The former Barcelona superstar finally entered the Triple Crown club when he won the World Cup with Argentina last month.

Kaka shared a screenshot of the players with the same status on Instagram, writing: “Welcome to the club Leo Messi”.

The list includes some of the greatest names in football history. England legend Bobby Charlton was the first player to win all three titles.

Brazil is the most represented nation, with Kaka, Ronaldinho, and Rivaldo being on the list. Italy’s Paulo Rossi and France’s Zinedine Zidane are also included alongside Germany and Bayern Munich legends Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Muller.
