Trincao: ‘I have no patience, I hate the bench’

Barcelona signed Portuguese attacker Trincao from Braga, and the young forward has stated his ambition to start for the Catalan giants. 

Ronaldo Koeman’s Barcelona will be markedly different from the one that Quique Setien employed. Ivan Rakitic has left, while Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal are looking to find employment somewhere else. 

Koeman will have to make do with whoever is left after the culling at Camp Nou. One player who is certainly to be thereabouts is Francisco Trincao.

The Braga youth academy graduate made his way to La Liga in a  €31 million transfer. Despite more renowned names in front of him, Trincao has made it clear that he will fight for first team minutes.

“I have no patience, I hate the bench,” Trincao was quoted by Marca.

“Barcelona are the best club in the world and they have the best players.”

The Viana do Castelo native can be deployed anywhere amongst the front three. He has pace and likes to get behind the defence. According to him, It is his versatility that is his trump card and believes will allow him to usurp his competition.

“I like all the positions in attack,” Trincao added.

“I don’t have a preference where I play.”

Trincao is joining at a perilous time for Blaugrana. A third manger took charge of the club while Lionel Messi is forcing his way out of the club.
