Competition is stiff in Group J, and Jose Mourinho’s side will hope to benefit from home advantage to put one foot in the knockout stages.

Tottenham welcome Ludogorets for the Champions League group stage matchday 4 game on Thursday night.

The hosts will not be too much relaxed heading into the match despite leading Group J as they are level on points with fellow contenders Antwerp and LASK Linz with six each.

What they can take pleasure from, however, is their red hot form this season and will be determined to extend their winning run to five matches domestically as well as in Europe.

Tottenham vs Ludogorets Form:

Spurs registered a commanding 2-0 win over Manchester City on Saturday to jump top of the pile in the Premier League table. It marked the ninth time they had come out on top in their previous 11 matches across all competitions.

It has been a campaign of hardly any positives for a side who sit deep down in Group J with zero points and a goal difference of -4 after three games.

The Eagles’ domestic campaign, however, is in direct contrast to their continental one as they remain unbeaten in the Bulgarian top division and sit atop the table with 26 points after 11 games.

Tottenham vs Ludogorets Head-to-head:

The reverse leg of the tie was the only previous occasion the two times contested against each other.

Spurs came out on top with a 3-1 result, with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Giovani Lo Celso on the scoresheet for the visitors and Claudiu Keseru for the hosts in Razgrad.

Tottenham vs Ludogorets Team News:

Toby Alderweireld limped off with a groin problem in the Man City game and could miss up to four weeks of action.

Davinson Sanchez‘s return provides Mourinho with some relief, with the center-back likely to slot in beside Eric Dier. Matt Doherty is also back after missing the last game due to Covid-19 protocol.

Higinio Marin and Wanderson are nursing injuries and both remain unavailable for selection for Thursday’s fixture.

Predicted line-ups:

Tottenham (4-3-3): Hart; Doherty, Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Sissoko, Winks, Lo Celso; Lucas, Vinicius, Bale

Ludogorets (4-4-2): Iliev; Cicinho, Verdon, Terziev, Nedyalkov; Tekpetey, Badji, Anicet, Yankov; Keseru, Manu
