Arsenal can secure a top-four spot by beating their arch-rivals in the north-London derby.

Mikel Arteta has revealed Ben White and Bukayo Saka might miss Arsenal’s upcoming match against Tottenham.

The Gunners will face their city-rivals in one of the most vital games of the entire campaign. Winning the derby would send Arteta’s side to the next season’s Champions League, while losing could revive Tottenham’s chances to leapfrog them from the fourth spot.

In his press conference ahead of the game, Arteta revealed his side might have to play without two of their best players.

The Spaniard said: “Ben is a doubt. We’ll have to assess him he’s feeling much better and Bukayo is the same

“It’s very difficult to rate with injuries, it’s just how they feel today, that’s the last day that we can assess them and try to get the feeling, basically.”

Arteta also confirmed Thomas Partey and Kieran Trippier are yet to complete their recovery processes.

The absence of Saka, in particular, will be a massive blow to Arsenal ahead of the derby. The Gunners’ top-scorer limped off the pitch in Arsenal’s narrow win over Leeds United earlier this week.

Arteta will most likely use Nicolas Pepe as Saka’s replacement in his lineup. As for White, his absence might force Arteta to use the same four-man backline that featured against Leeds United.
