Real Madrid are searching for a new striker, with Tottenham having two of their targets in their squad.

Tottenham striker Richarlison has admitted he would like to play for Real Madrid at some point in his career.

The Brazil international has failed to live up to expectations at Tottenham after a £60m transfer last summer. In his 27 Premier League appearances for the Spurs, Richarlison registered only one goal.

However, the 26-year-old’s good relationship with Carlo Ancelotti has increased speculations about a potential move to Real Madrid.

Following Karim Benzema‘s departure, the Blancos are monitoring the market for a new striker. Richarlison’s teammate Harry Kane is reportedly Ancelotti’s priority signing. But the England international’s price tag has convinced the Spanish giants to consider other options.

Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Richarlison was asked about Real Madrid’s interest in signing him.

“Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and every player wants to wear their shirt,” he said.

“But I have a club, a contract – I have to prove why Tottenham bought me for a high price. But any player dreams of playing for Real Madrid.”

Richarlison has enjoyed a regular starting spot for Brazil despite his poor debut campaign at Tottenham. During 2022, the former Everton star registered ten goals in his ten games for the Selecao.

Brazil will take on Guinea in a friendly match on Saturday before meeting Senegal three days later.
