The Spurs have failed to live up to expectations in European games this season.

Son Heung-Min believes Tottenham must maintain their belief in Antonio Conte to bounce back from their current form.

Following a bitter defeat in the north London derby, Conte’s men drew 0-0 against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.

The defeat kept Tottenham in Group D’s second place, two points behind leaders Sporting Lisbon.

Having failed to win any of their last four matches, Tottenham have shown signs of a dip in form in recent weeks. But Son believes sticking to Conte’s ideas is his side’s best shot.

He said: “We saw last season that nobody believed we would be here right now. Last season nobody believed we’d be in the Champions League.

“The gaffer always wants more, more, more and as [a player] I want to follow his way, or you know what’s coming. If we don’t follow him then you know you struggle.

“We have to follow, there is no option because he’s a winner and I think this is what we do – sacrifice and do the hard things.”

Tottenham return to the Premier League where they meet Brighton this weekend. The Spurs will then host Eintracht in their next European clash on October 12.
