Totttenham are set to complete the signing of former England international Joe Hart on a free transfer this summer.

Joe Hart is closing in on a move to Spurs this summer and has already undergone his medical at the club as per Sky Sports.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper will join the North London side after his contract with Burnley ran out.

Hart is expected to compete with Paulo Gazzaniga and club captain Hugo Lloris for the no 1 first choice option under Jose Mourinho.

Given the hectic schedule for next season in terms of fixtures, the ex-City goalie has been guaranteed decent game time at least.

Mourinho is already facing the prospect of having to field an Under-23 side in the early round of the Carabao Cup – as Liverpool did last season – due to potential clashes with Europa League qualifiers.

After being ditched by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Hart spent time on loan at Torino and West Ham before joining Burnley on a two-year deal.

He played 19 league matches in his first season, rotating with Tom Heaton. However, Nick Pope became the Clarets’ first choice last term and Hart was restricted to just three appearances in cup competitions.

Being a former Premier League winner with City, the 33-year-old joins Spurs with lots of experience to his name.
