The Bavarians have made the first move for Harry Kane as he enters the final year of his Tottenham contract.
Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a €70 million plus add-ons bid from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 29-year-old striker’s future is under a cloud as his contract runs out next summer. As a renewal looks more unlikely by the day, Spurs face a difficult decision – do they let him walk for free in 2024 or sell him now?
The question is, if Tottenham decide to sell, which club will they do a deal with?
First up, we have Bayern Munich, who are looking for a new forward this summer. The Germans have placed Kane high on their list. Manchester United have also had their sights on the striker since the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era. Current boss Erik ten Hag is a known admirer.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, reportedly told the club’s board that he wants to sign Kane. He made his wish known during a key meeting to discuss transfers.
And let’s not forget Manchester City, who previously explored the possibility of signing him two years ago before going on to complete a deal for Erling Haaland the following summer.
Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season as he focused on helping the club return to the Champions League. Unfortunately, Spurs missed out on European football altogether after an eighth-placed finish.
