The German boss is out of job after his surprise sacking from Bayern Munich.

Tottenham are reportedly keen to hire Julian Nagelsmann as Antonio Conte’s replacement.

Bayern Munich sacked Julian Nagelsmann after a shocking decision on Friday.

The Bavarians confirmed Thomas Tuchel as their new manager shortly afterwards. However, most Bayern fans are still unconvinced by the club’s explanation for Nagelsmann’s sacking.

Bayern reached the Champions League quarterfinals on the back of a host of incredible performances. In Bundesliga, the champions sit second on the table, only one point behind Borussia Dortmund.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have made Nagelsmann their number-one target to replace Antonio Conte.

The Italian boss has moved closer to the Spurs’ exit door in recent weeks. An explosive interview last week convinced most observers that the club could part ways with Conte even before the end of the season.

ESPN journalist Archie Rhind-Tutt believes Tottenham is Nagelsmann’s most likely destination.

“I think Nagelsmann would walk into the Tottenham job,” he said. “I know for a fact from someone who was close to him that he actually had an affinity for them at one point, not as a fan but thought of them as a good club.

“That was around the time before he joined Bayern Munich.”

Tottenham, however, are not the only club that are closely following Nagelsmann’s situation. Real Madrid might also try to sign Nagelsmann amid reports of Carlo Ancelotti’s possible transfer to Brazil.
