The London rivals are in the market to sign attacking reinforcement next summer.
Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly considering moves for Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt.
The German winger joined the Black and Yellows on a €25m deal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019. Since then, he has developed into a key player in Dortmund’s attacking line, securing a regular spot in their lineup.
Brandt’s performances this season have attracted interest from a number of clubs both in Germany and abroad.
The 26-year-old has scored eight goals and provided four assists in his 22 Bundesliga games so far, forming a devastating duo with Karim Adeyemi in Edin Terzic’s attacking setup.
According to Bild, both Tottenham and Arsenal have shown interest in signing Brandt next summer.
The German outlet claims the Dortmund star will enter the final 12 months of his contract in June. The looming possibility of a free departure could force the German club to sell Brandt for a lower price.
Dortmund are reportedly keen to extend Brandt’s contract before the next transfer window. However, the player is open to assessing his options before deciding to renew his deal at Signal Iduna Park.
Speaking about Brandt’s situation last month, Dortmund’s Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl said: “Of course I’m aware of the contract situation, and we’re approaching the subject very positively and calmly.”
