The Spurs have a few key stars back before their next Premier League game.

Three Tottenham players are ready to make their returns against Brighton this weekend, according to manager Ange Postecoglou.

Captain Son Heung-min and midfielder Yves Bissouma are set to return from international duty, while Giovanni Lo Celso is in contention following his recovery from injury.

Son, who led South Korea in the Asian Cup, returned after their semi-final defeay against Jordan, while Bissouma rejoined Spurs after Mali’s exit from the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals. Both players have participated in training sessions since their return, alongside Lo Celso, who has been training throughout the week.

“The only ones still out are [winger Manor] Solomon and [wing back Ryan] Sessegnon at this stage. It’s the healthiest squad we’ve had for a while,” Postecoglou told a press conference on Friday.

Brighton, who previously defeated Tottenham 4-2, will face Spurs without their head coach Roberto De Zerbi, serving a touchline ban. Despite this, Postecoglou expects a similar approach from Brighton in the upcoming match.

“I know results have not been great but the identity they have doesn’t change,” the Spurs manager added. “That’s why they are such a challenging opponent.”
