The international break ends up creating chaos in the Spurs squad as two of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are now unavailable for action.

Tottenham have been dealt a huge blow as two of their players have tested positive for coronavirus, as Sky Sports reports.

The identities of the two players are yet to be revealed and it remains to be seen whether the club will do so, but Tottenham’s line-up for the Premier League game against Newcastle United on Sunday that will be released about an hour before kick-off could prove helpful in identifying the pair.

Both players will miss the trip to St James’ Park as well as the Europa Conference League meeting with Vitesse Arnhem in midweek and the league outing against West Ham next weekend as they will now have to observe self-isolation for 10 days as per government rules.

The report adds that there are no close contact issues that would require other players to isolate.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, manager Nuno Espirito Santo stated that there are “problems” in his Spurs team.

“After the international break there are always huge issues that happen,” he said. “We have problems but I will not say before the game.”
