The Spurs striker has attracted interest from elite clubs ahead of the next summer.
Antonio Conte insists Tottenham want to keep Harry Kane next summer despite interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Kane’s current deal will expire in 2024, with no signs of a contract renewal being imminent. The Spurs striker has been on Bayern’s radar since Robert Lewandowski’s exit. However, Man Utd have also joined the transfer race to sign him in recent weeks.
“For sure the club wants to involve Harry Kane for the rest of his career,” Conte said on Thursday. “Then you know football, sometimes it’s unpredictable — it’s not in my role to make a decision.
“This is a decision for the club and for Harry.”
Kane has continued his incredible form in the Premier League despite Tottenham’s struggle to push for trophies. This season, the England international has scored 20 goals in his 27 league games so far.
The 29-year-old’s impressive goalscoring consistency in the Premier League has reportedly made him Erik ten Hag’s main transfer target for the next summer.
On the other hand, Bayern are keen to have a new reliable No.9 despite signing a contract extension with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
Earlier this week, a report from Sky Sports claimed Tottenham are not willing to sell Kane next summer, even if he leaves as a free agent in 2024.
Let’s see if a possible bidding war could change Tottenham’s mind over Kane’s exit.
