The Brazil international ended his impressive World Cup campaign with a hamstring issue.
Richarlison will undergo an MRI test to assess the severity of his hamstring injury, according to Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.
The Brazil international picked up a knock during his side’s defeat against Croatia in the World Cup’s quarter-finals.
His performances during the tournament convinced many observers that he’s yet to show his best form at Tottenham. But the injury might delay his integration into the Spurs’ squad further.
On Tuesday, Conte provided an update on Richarlison and Ben Davies.
“For Richy, tomorrow he’s going to have an MRI [scan] to know very well the importance of the injury,” the Tottenham boss told SPURSPLAY.
“After tomorrow we will see very well the time he needs to recover.”
Asked about Davies’ recovery, he added: “Ben Davies is okay and started to work with us last week, he has recovered. Rodrigo has started to work. I think that he’s going to be good for the game against Aston Villa.”
Tottenham will face Ligue 1 side Nice in a friendly game before returning to Premier League action by meeting Brentford next Monday.
