In what would come as shock news, Tottenham have already asked about the possibility of signing Aaron Ramsey from Juventus this summer.
Tottenham are reportedly considering a move for Juventus star Aaron Ramsey.
The former Arsenal midfielder joined the Italian giants in 2019 but has struggled to make himself a permanent starter during his time in Turin.
Ramsey has made just 12 Serie A starts so far this season and injury struggles have kept him in and out of the team.
According to Tuttomercato, Tottenham are considering offering the Welshman a return to England. It is surely a move Arsenal fans would not approve. However, Spurs will have to battle fierce competition from Liverpool and Everton who are also interested.
The midfielder spent 11 years in north London with the Gunners, making over 250 appearances and scoring the winning goal in the 2014 FA Cup final to end Arsenal’s nine-year trophy drought.
The 30-year-old still has two years left to run on his contract, but his form and fitness has never reached a consistent level at Juventus and the club are keen to move the Welshman on.
Ramsey has scored just six goals in over 18 months for the club. For context, he matched or bettered that figure in five of his last six seasons at Arsenal.
He has suffered 13 injury setbacks since signing for Juventus, and this has contributed to first Maurizio Sarri and now Andrea Pirlo both being unable to help Ramsey recapture his best form.
Financial struggles could be the reason Juventus might genuinely let the Welshman leave, as they seek to raise funds for summer signings. Also, the 30-year-old earns a whopping £400,000-a-week in Turin and the Old Lady wouldnno doubt be happy to take that off their wage bill.
