Tottenham secure a narrow win in their first game under Antonio Conte.

Tottenham defeated Vitesse 3-2 in their Europa Conference League game on Thursday. The Spurs secured the crucial three points in a match that saw three players being sent off.

Conte gets it done in a red card fest!

The game had two entirely different halves. Son Heung-min scored the opener for Tottenham in the 14th minute. The Spurs went to score two more goals in the course of the next fifteen minutes.

However, the Dutch side managed to find their rhythm once the initial pressure wore off. Jacob Rasmussen, who had scored an own goal earlier, found the back of the net just after the half-hour mark.

Vitesse revived their hopes to make a comeback when Matus Bero made it 3-2 five minutes before the halftime.

The second half was, however, a different story. The first half’s goal fest turned into total chaos as three players were shown red cards. Tottenham’s Cristian Romero was sent off after getting his second yellow card in the 57th minute.

Vitesse pushed hard to get the equalizer, but they had no luck to get behind the Spurs’ solid backline. Danilho Doekhi and Markus Schubert from Vitesse were also sent off in the last ten minutes as the Dutch side got more and more frustrated.

Tottenham moved to second place in the Group G table, where they see Renens above them with a three-point margin.
