Let’s take a look at the Premier League Player Ratings from the showdown between Tottenham and Leeds United over in north London.

Jose Mourinho vowed the match wouldn’t be a saga between himself and Marcelo Bielsa, but even he would’ve been satisfied to beat the Leeds coach with his own trademark style.

The showdown offered an intriguing intake on the contrasting styles of the managers. Leeds, on one hand, dominated possession and rushed men forward in pursuit of goal. Yet it was Tottenham, not the visitors, that took home a first-half lead.

Harry Kane put Mourinho’s men ahead before the half-hour mark by drilling in a penalty into the middle of the goal after Ezgjan Alioski fouled Steven Bergwijn. It was the striker’s 10th goal of the season; making him the first player to reach double figures in terms of goals (10) and assists (10) across Europe’s top five leagues.

Just 14 minutes, however, Son Heung-min made another Tottenham milestone. The South Korean put away a low Kane cross for his 100th goal for the club to put Spurs into a two-goal lead. It was also the 13th goal he had combined with Kane in this season.

But Son wasn’t done there. The forward fired in a corner-kick just five minutes into the second-half for Toby Alderweireld to head in at the near-corner, taking his tally up to five assists and increasing Spurs’ lead to 3-0.

The damage was already done by that point for Leeds. Bielsa attempted to reinvigorate his line-up by bringing on Ian Poveda, Jamie Shackleton, and Pablo Hernandez but the changes didn’t have the desired effect.

Although a double booking for Matt Doherty in the dying moments took some edge off the 3-0 victory from Mourinho’s men.
