Liverpool dropped crucial points at London as Harry Kane ended his goal drought.

Tottenham held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in their Premier League match on Sunday. The Spurs ended Liverpool’s eight-match winning streak with a vital home victory.

Andrew Robertson did EVERYTHING!

Despite Liverpool’s pressure at the start of the game, Tottenham clinched the opener in the 13th minute. Following a precise assist from Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kean placed a low strike past Alisson Becker to take Tottenham ahead. This was Kane’s first goal since scoring against Newcastle on October 17, ending his 788-minute goal drought.

However, Liverpool were quick in their response as they got their equalizer through Diogo Jota 20 minutes later. The Reds were close to scoring another one in the first half. However, a fantastic save from Hugo Lloris denied Sadio Mane from scoring the second goal for Liverpool.

Andrew Robertson, who assisted Jota for the first goal, took Liverpool ahead in the 69th minute. Following a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Robertson put the ball past Lloris with a close-range header.

However, Liverpool were not able to hold on to their lead as they conceded an equalizer only six minutes later. Alison made a terrible blunder by running too early to stop Ben Davies’ attack. The Keeper could not clear the ball and provided Son Heung-min with an empty net.

Liverpool’s situation got worse minutes after the goal when they went down a man. Robertson received a red card for his careless challenge on Emerson Royal, with the VAR confirming the decision.

Tottenham pushed hard to get the match-winner in the final 15 minutes, but they could not get past Liverpool’s backline. The draw increases the gap between Liverpool and leaders Man City to three points. The Reds will now prepare to face Leicester City in a Carabao Cup game on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Tottenham remain seventh in the league, having played three games less than Liverpool. Next up for the Spurs is meeting West Ham in a crunch Carabao Cup match.
