The Blues continue their freefall in the Premier League with another disappointing performance.

Tottenham defeated Chelsea 2-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. An impressive second-half display from the Spurs was enough to maintain their top-four spot on the table.

The end of Potter?

Chelsea came into the game on the back of a disappointing run of results that increased the pressure on Graham Potter.

However, their start to the derby offered no hope for a better outcome. The Blues struggled to find their feet in the game, while Spurs also avoided taking too much risk.

The uneventful first half ended with both sides barely managing to create any serious chances. However, the pace of the game increased significantly after the break.

Only a minute into the second period, Olivier Skipp scored a spectacular goal to put the Spurs ahead. Following a blocked shot from Emerson, the 22-year-old leathered the ball into the net off the crossbar from the edge of the box.

Potter tried to change the course of the game by bringing in Mason Mount and Denis Zakaria. But Chelsea couldn’t find their attacking rhythm after conceding the opener.

Tottenham then secured their victory through Harry Kane in the 82nd minute. A corner from Son Heung-Min found Eric Dier, who passed the ball to Kane inside the box. The England captain then nodded the ball home from close range to make it 2-0 for the hosts.

Chelsea continue their six-game winless run across all competitions, while Tottenham maintain their fourth spot on the Premier League table.
