Let’s see how Tottenham performed against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League clash. We have all the player ratings.

Tottenham had a visit from the Belgian club Royal Antwerp in their final group stage fixture of the Europa League. With a thought of the 3-3 draw against LASK in the last match, Jose Mourinho’s side was looking for the three points. The visitors, on the other hand, hoped to continue their winning form with a 3-1 win against Ludogorets last time out.

This turned out to be a tough battle for the north London team as Antwerp pressed hard for the goal in the first 45 minutes. And with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son on the bench, Tottenham struggled to find the target before the half-time whistle. All the action came in the second half.

Carlos and Lo Celso fire the home side to qualification.

Yes, it was not the usual deadly duo this time that helped Mourinho’s side achieve the triumph in this competition. In fact, Carlos Vinicius and Giovanni Lo Celso grabbed the important goals to send Spurs to the next phase.

We saw some vintage Gareth Bale action in the game as he blasted his unique free-kick towards the Antwerp goalpost. However, Alireza Beiranvand made an audacious save to stop the speeding ball from the Welshman. But he could not save the rebound shot which was hit in by Carlos to take the lead for Tottenham.

Kane proved to be helpful as he came in from the bench to serve a ball to Lo Celso. The Argentine calmly finished the move with an outer-foot shot past the goalkeeper to put the game to bed.
