Liverpool returned to winning ways by beating the Spurs in London.

Liverpool defeated Tottenham 2-1 in their Premier League game on Sunday. Mohamed Salah scored twice as the Reds edged out another top-six club.

A hard-fought win!

Liverpool started the game on a brilliant note, scoring the opener only 11 minutes in.

Following an inside-the-box assist from Darwin Nunez, Salah made a big turn before smashing the ball into the back of the net with a powerful low shot.

Tottenham pushed hard for an instant equalizer, with Ivan Persic hitting the post minutes after Salah’s goal. But Liverpool stunned with a second goal, which came from another Salah strike.

Following a long ball from Alisson Becker, Erik Dier made a horrible stop, with Salah quickly stealing the ball from him behind Spurs’ backline. The Egyptian then doubled his side’s lead with a cool finish in the one-on-one situation.

Tottenham tried to regain their momentum after half-time, hitting the post once more through Persic. But Liverpool managed to contain their threats by pressing them relentlessly for the rest of the game.

Harry Kane pulled one back for the hosts in the 70th minute, but that wasn’t enough for Antonio Conte’s men to escape the defeat.
