We have to take a look at the Top 10 most valuable players in the world right now, according to CIES Football Observatory.

CIES Football Observatory published a list of the most valuable footballers in the world, we have a Top 10 list of the most expensive.

We need to keep in mind that this company does a thorough study every single month.

They take a look at the accomplishments of every single relevant player in the world of football.

They acknowledge and quantify their level of performance combined with their marketing impact in the world.

With all this combined, CIES Football Observatory came up with a list that doesn’t currently have Cristiano Ronaldo.

Age is very important for this study, which is why Ronaldo may not be a part of this Top 10 list anymore.

However, the Portuguese player could go back to the list if he has a good year with Juventus and Portugal throughout 2020.

Let’s take a look at the players on this list.

10.- Lautaro Martinez – €116,5 million

The Argentine striker has been growing as a professional for the last couple of years.

His most recent semester has been outstanding on so many different levels.

Lautaro didn’t only grow as a player with Inter Milan, but he also became the top striker for Argentina.

9.- Antoine Griezmann – €123,5 million

The French forward managed to get himself amongst the top players in the world during his Atletico Madrid tenure.

His transfer to FC Barcelona is the biggest reason he made the list at the end of 2019.

Although he hasn’t performed too well this season, Griezmann still has some room for improvement.

8.- Lionel Messi – €126 million

The Argentine might be a veteran already, but he is still considered the best player in the world.

His value is still staggering despite his age, and he will continue on this trend for a few years before he retires.

We are convinced that Cristiano Ronaldo will maintain his competition with the Argentine as well.

7.- Marcus Rashford – €134 million

The Manchester United youngster is very prestigious in the transfer market despite his club’s poor level of performance.

The CIES Football Observatory algorithm still placed him inside the Top 10 due to his individual growth as a player.

Manchester United will struggle to keep him if they don’t improve in the next few years.

6.- Harry Kane – €151,7 million

Despite being at a club that doesn’t win many titles, Harry Kane is still one of the most valued players in the world.

In fact, he is the most valued striker right now.

The many injuries he suffered over the last year didn’t prevent him from staying on this list.

5.- Sadio Mane – €155 million

The recently crowned African Player of 2019 is having a magical moment at Liverpool FC.

He was the AFCON finalist with Senegal, and he won two major trophies with the Reds during 2019.

Mane appears in a good position to win more trophies in the next few years.

4.- Jadon Sancho – €169 million

Despite his young age, Jadon Sancho is already breaking all sorts of statistics and playing amazing football at Borussia Dortmund.

The English forward is currently making a decision about his future, he might leave during the winter.

Some of the biggest clubs in the world are eager to sign him as soon as possible.

If more time goes by, Sancho’s price tag will skyrocket without question.

3.- Mohamed Salah – €176,5 million

The Egyptian forward is already one of the best players in the world, he is inside the Top 5 alongside other illustrious names.

During the last three seasons, Mo has been performing at the top of his game without any signs of slowing down.

There is a good chance that he might help Liverpool win the Premier League this season, which will elevate his prestige tenfold.

2.- Raheem Sterling – €223,5 million

The Manchester City star is delivering some of his best performances of his career this season.

His club might be going through a difficult time right now, but he is still amongst the most valued players in the world.

Sterling is the player that everybody expects to perform for City during the UEFA Champions League.

1.- Kylian Mbappe – €265,7 million

Nobody has any doubts about Kylian Mbappe being the most expensive player in the world right now.

In fact, he is way more expensive than his teammate Neymar was in 2017.

Mbappe has everything any club would break records to sign, even if it means going crazy.

Real Madrid is the club that will try to get him in the future, but don’t sleep on other clubs making a move as well.
