Ahead of tomorrow’s match, Toni Kroos wanted to preview Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Atalanta on Wednesday.

Toni Kroos knows how complicated Real Madrid’s Champions League against Atalanta will be on Wednesday. The Spanish giants travel to Bergamo to face Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, which is one of the most impressive underdogs in European football. They will go to play this match with only 13 first-team players on the roster due to several injuries they are suffering. Winning tomorrow requires a miracle that only a club like Real Madrid can produce, and Los Blancos are ready for the challenge.

Toni Kroos has been one of this season’s key players at the club and one of the reasons they are still alive in two competitions. He forms a deadly midfield alongside Luka Modric and Casemiro that gives any rival nightmares. Despite playing against the odds, Toni is still confident the players will produce a decent performance. If they lose, it would have to be by only a goal. They simply can’t afford to allow many goals and not score a single one.

Kroos thinks his teammates can prevail.

In today’s press conference, Toni Kroos said the following through Real Madrid’s official website: “We want to get on the ball and have greater control of the game, but we need to adapt and try to play our game. We’re now in the last 16, are playing away from home and know it’ll be tough, but we’re going to try and go out and play our game. It’s like a cup final for us. For me, the Champions League starts now, these are the kinds of game we enjoy.

“We know it’ll be tough, not just because of our absentees, Atalanta are a very good side who play good football and are strong in attack. It’s important that we counter their game because I’m certain that offensively we’ll be capable of doing something, but we’ll also have to defend well if we’re to get a good result. Whenever we’re missing important players we always have to work together, as we have been doing of late, and all step up to the plate to perform and that’s what we’ve seen in the last few LaLiga games.”
