Real Madrid plot a move for Karim Benzema successor

PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo is a potential transfer target for Real Madrid.

The Spanish and European champions view Gakpo as a possible successor to Karim Benzema, 34. The 23-year-old has been in excellent form this season, capturing the interest of Manchester United.

Gakpo, who is contracted at PSV until 2026, has managed 13 goals and 17 assists in 24 appearances across all club competitions. The winger also scored three times at the World Cup for the Netherlands. [AS – in Spanish]

Manchester United will enquire about Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos’ availability for a transfer in January.
