Chelsea’s next defensive target after Koulibaly deal revealed

After agreeing on a €40 million transfer fee with Napoli for defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Chelsea have turned their attention onto Presnel Kimpembe.

The 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain center-back played under Blues coach Thomas Tuchel in France. Tuchel rates him highly, as does former PSG teammate and Chelsea veteran Thiago Silva.

Manchester City star Nathan Ake has also agreed on personal terms with his former club as Tuchel looks to bring in three new defenders. [The Guardian]

Ronaldo receives a mega offer from Saudi Arabia

An unnamed Saudi Arabian club has offered Cristiano Ronaldo €300 million to spend two seasons in the Middle East.

€30 million will go towards the transfer fee to release the forward from his Manchester United contract. €250 million will be divided across Ronaldo’s two seasons, while the remaining €20 million is for intermediaries. [CNN Portugal – in Portuguese]

Barcelona to make another offer for Lewandowski

The Blaugrana will increase their offer for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to €50 million.

Lewandowski wants a transfer this summer and favors Barcelona as his next club. The 33-year-old Pole returned for pre-season training at Bayern Munich earlier in the week. [Bild – in German]

Napoli shortlist two Koulibaly replacements

The Partenopei will choose between Fenerbahce’s Kim Min-Jae and Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi to replace Kalidou Koulibaly.

Napoli have agreed to sell Koulibaly to Chelsea for a transfer fee of €40 million. The Senegalese’s departure, however, leaves a huge void to fill in defense. West Ham United have made Sassuolo a €40 million offer for striker Gianluca Scamacca.
