Barcelona’s plan to sign Haaland revealed
Joan Laporta’s plan to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is out of the bag.
The Barcelona president has made Haaland his No.1 target. The Norwegian’s €75 million release clause becomes active this summer, a figure Barca view as a cut-price fee for a player of his quality.
To make the deal a reality, Barcelona aim to save their money elsewhere by targeting free transfers only. Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen fit the bill in this aspect. The defenders are out of contract at the end of the season. [Diario Sport]
