Chelsea ready to sign two Barcelona players

The Blues are prepared to sign Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if Barcelona allow the transfers.

Chelsea would match the £72 million fee Manchester United had offered Barca for De Jong’s transfer. The Dutchman’s agents arrived in Catalonia on Wednesday.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, is keen to reunite with Aubameyang. The Gabonese forward scored 79 goals under the German during their two seasons together at Borussia Dortmund. [Sky Sports]

AC Milan approached Arsenal star Lokonga

AC Milan have approached Sambi Lokonga’s representatives over a possible summer transfer from Arsenal.

The 22-year-old midfielder fell out of favor last season under Gunners manager Mikel Arteta. He made just three starts in the second half of the campaign, which was nine less than what he had made before Christmas.

If Lokonga, who joined Arsenal last year on a five-year deal, switches to AC Milan, then it would likely be on loan. [TMW – in Italian]
