Barcelona to sign at least four players this summer

The Blaugrana will complete a minimum of four signings in the upcoming transfer window.

Andreas Christensen will be their first, with the Chelsea defender ‘already tied down’. Barcelona have eyes on a new striker as well. Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is their top target for this position. They also plan to sign a new midfielder, ideally AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, and another center-back or full-back – presumably Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

Barcelona may make a fifth or even a sixth signing this summer but that depends on player exits. [Diario Sport]

Lewandowski to join Manchester United?

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is attracting interest from Manchester United.

The 33-year-old Pole has less than 18 months left on his contract at the Bundesliga club. However, Bayern are yet to offer him an extension. United may, therefore, attempt to entice Lewandowski to move to Old Trafford. [Bild – in German]

The Gunners have made signing two strikers and a midfielder a priority for the summer transfer window.

No Chelsea bids match Abramovich’s £3bn asking price

Not a single bidder has matched Roman Abramovich’s £3 billion asking price to buy Chelsea.

The Blues owner has put the club for sale and he’s given interested parties until March 15 to submit offers. He has received multiple bids already, but none of them have matched his asking price. [ESPN]

Shaw wants a new Manchester United contract

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has made it clear to the club that he wants to begin talks for a new contract.

The 26-year-old Englishman’s current deal expires in June 2023, although United have an option to extend it for another season. He earns a basic salary of about £150,000 a week. [The Guardian]

Juventus open to signing Morata permanently

The Bianconeri would be open to signing Alvaro Morata permanently from Atletico Madrid.

That said, Juventus don’t want to pay the €35 million they had previously agreed on with Atletico upon signing Morata on a two-year loan deal in 2020. They want to pay around €15 million instead. [Corriere dello Sport – in Italian]
