Barcelona & Atletico finally end Griezmann impasse

Barcelona appear set to sell Antoine Griezmann to Atletico Madrid for €20 million.

If the deal goes through, Barcelona will have agreed to half their original €40 million asking price. Atletico would’ve had to pay this transfer fee had Griezmann played 45 minutes or more in 50% of their matches during his two-year loan period at the capital club.

But Atletico are unwilling to pay such a fee and have restricted Griezmann to just one start in LaLiga all season. [Marca – in Spanish]

The reigning Spanish and European champions have shortlisted Benfica defender Antonio Silva as a potential transfer target.
