A notorious FIFA 23 bug has seemingly made its return in FC 24.
EA Sports FC 24 has just been released, and players are already uncovering an exploit reminiscent of its predecessor, FIFA 23.
An X/Twitter user recently posted a newly discovered glitch in EA Sports FC 24 that enables players to score directly from kick-off.
The user, known as “SAF Tactician,” sarcastically commented, “New FIFA, same broken mechanic,” while sharing a brief video demonstrating the exploit.
A similar glitch related to kick-offs had already been found in EA Sports FC 24’s predecessor, FIFA 23, and the fact that it resurfaced in this year’s game, despite the name change, has frustrated many gamers.
Here’s how the glitch works: During the kick-off, players need to pass backward and then use L1/LB to make the forward run. Afterward, they must execute a “give and go” pass (a triangulation) to a midfielder and then back to the player who initiated the first pass. Finally, a first-touch pass to the forward and a precise finish in the subsequent one-on-one situation.
Unlike FIFA 23, it appears that this glitch in EA Sports FC 24 is less reliable. Some players have reported falling victim to the exploit in matches, while others have found ways to defend against it by quickly switching to the central defender. This has led some gamers to attribute the glitch more to the defender’s skills than to a flaw in the game.
