Arsenal’s legendary all-time top scorer named one player who could’ve scored a hat-trick in the game against West Ham.

Thierry Henry believes Gabriel Jesus had the chance to score ‘two or three’ goals in the 2-0 loss to West Ham.

Arsenal missed the chance to move top of the Premier League on Thursday. The Gunners suffered a home defeat, as Tomas Soucek and Konstantinos Mavropanos’ goals sealed West Ham the spoils.

They had 75% of the ball, 30 shots, and 77 touches in the West Ham box. Yet, only eight of their eight shots were on target, causing them to lose for a third time this season.

“You knew Arsenal were going to get chances,” Henry said on Amazon Prime following the final whistle.

“Sometimes it hits the post, there is a leg on the line or it is not finishing well.

“Gabriel Jesus could have scored two or three. He didn’t. But you have to give credit to West Ham. Not conceding at the Emirates is something amazing.”

In the West Ham match, Jesus had three shots in total, but only got one effort on target.

The former Manchester City striker has scored just three goals in 14 Premier League games this season. He will hope to improve his tally on Sunday when Arsenal face Fulham at Craven Cottage.
