Thierry Henry reveals Arsenal star he would “love” to play with

The Gunners legend believes Arsenal have a great striker in their ranks.

Thierry Henry has praised Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus after his brilliant performance against Sevilla.

Jesus scored and provided an assist when the Gunners defeated their Spanish rivals 2-1 on Tuesday. Having claimed six points from three Champions League games, Arsenal are in pole position to reach the knockout round.

Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry singled out Jesus for praise, highlighting his versatility as a forward.

“I will be honest with you, and I think, for example, and it’s a massive example and a massive thing – I’d have loved to have played with him,” the Arsenal legend said.

“He’s a great guy to have around, I’m sure if you ask anyone they’d love to play with him.”

Jesus enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign with the Gunners last season as he quickly found his place in Mikel Arteta’s plans. Since the start of the new season, however, his playing time has been limited due to more competition in Arsenal’s attacking line. The Brazil international has made only four Premier League starts, registering one goal.

Henry added: “He offers so much sometimes that he’s too tired to finish. You need to also be fresh in your head to be able to finish at times.

“The pressure, the holding, the passing, the finishing tonight was brilliant.”
